A paradise for walkers, birdwatchers, painters and those who just want to relax away from it all. Finca Cencerrita combines the best traditional elements of an Andalusian cottage, whilst recognising those on holiday have different needs. Gone are the tiny, barred windows, they are now full length French doors as we couldn’t bear to hide the views!
It must be said that Cencerrita is no place for the avid sightseer, the restless fidget or the impatient night clubber. Instead it is a refuge from all that the "traditional" Spanish holiday brings. This is the time to unwind: read a book, be with your loved one, just infuse your soul with peace and relaxation. When booking, a non-refundable deposit of 25% is required, with the balance due 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. Payment can be made via PayPal (no account needed and you can use your credit card if you wish), or direct into our bank. More details on booking.

Walkers particularly enjoy the cooler months with the swaths of wild flowers and endless paths right from the front door step. Photographers and artists are filled with joy at the wide, ever-changing skies whilst the velvety dark night skies are an astronomer’s paradise – and all of us can enjoy the shooting stars. Bird watchers have been amazed by the birds right here on the Finca and have also taken advantage of the trips offered to other habitats not far from here. Naturists too are delighted to have natural privacy here – not have to be surrounded by high walls.

With the focus on enjoying the views and the wonderful climate here, the house has been equipped to be both cool in the summer and cosy in the cooler months. The big corner sofa, log fire and Widescreen TV with a stack of videos and DVDs ensures perfect relaxation inside - not to mention an excellent selection of books and games.
In the kitchen a large fridge and decent size freezer-compartment sorts out the keeping drinks cold and ice making. It's well-equipped with pretty much all you could need - lots of crockery/cutlery and glasses and modern stainless steel pans. The oven and hob are gas.
For inside dining, there is an extending wooden table with 6 chairs/cushions.
A desk is in the corner with an angle poise light and sockets. Also battery recharger (most sizes)for the rechargeable batteries in the two torches provided.
Ceiling fans at each end of the lounge / dining area for the summer and 3 x 3 KW gas heaters for the cooler months.

There are two en-suite bedrooms, decorated in a fresh and airy fashion: the Álora room has a double bed (5ft) and the Cártama has twin beds (3ft). Each room has screened patio doors leading onto its own side terrace with table and chairs. Both with great views of course!

Sit round our beautiful pool area soaking up the sun. Choose whether you want to be in a sunny spot shielded from any breeze, or higher up where a gentle breeze can cool those soaring temperatures. The pool is 7.7m x 3.5 and just over 1m deep The bar area includes a large Italian barbeque behind the huge bar top. An BBQ round the pool is a perfect way to spend the warm summer evenings - what better relaxing way to end the day? Well ... maybe it's slipping into our steamy, bubbling hot tub for your daily dose of calm. This not only helps relieve stress, but also aids sleep and, possibly most importantly, promotes togetherness! Watch the sunset go down, drink in hand, from the luxury of the spa ... Bliss! The spa seats five with various jets and water pressures. It is approximately 2m square with an onyx blue marbled finish.
A screened and shady pergola is on the other side of the pool – a great place for your afternoon siesta.
The roof terrace above the house has the most incredible panoramic view. The sunsets have to be experienced to be believed!
Plenty of seating: 16 chairs, 4 bar stools, 2 benches 5 sun loungers and 5 tables around the property!

Cencerrita is primarily for those who want to getaway by themselves and relax in peaceful surroundings with the occasional foray to top up supplies in the local supermarket or take a trip to El Chorro (wonderful mountains and lakes), Ronda (beautiful historic city perched on a cliff top) or Granada (with the world famous Moorish Alhambra).

We can provide a taxi service to Alora and Estacion de Cartama for those who may not wish to rent a car - please check before booking your holiday.

Maybe best of all, is that we meet you in the local village to guide you to Cencerrita - we do not want you to get lost on the first day of your holiday! This is a great relief to most ... especially when arriving in the dark!
